People saying they are disappointed in Dan or that he is being stupid again must not really understand what it’s like to be at that point in your life where everything is just so empty. I don’t think his feelings for Jaekyung are entirely gone, but I do think he is serious about wanting Jaekyung to go back and leave him alone. Even sex doesn’t feel like anything after being used over and over again, so of course it doesn’t matter. Why would it? What more can Jaekyung take from him that he hasn’t already? His heart, his dignity, the light in his eyes. If offering himself up means he might finally be left alone, I don’t think it’s unreasonable or out of character that he’d choose to do that. I’m sure, in Dan’s eyes, it will be just as empty as all the other times he’s been used. To him, it’s nothing new.
“He needs to stand up” Imagine being bullied and abused your entire life to the point that your self worth becomes nonexistent, only to have the one person who ever truly loved and cared about you slowly dying in front of your eyes. Would you have the will to stand up?
I agree, sometimes people is fast to think that wow he is stupid offering himself again to Jaekyung but they forget the experiences Kim Dan had with him. The chapter of him so out of it he just wants to break free from all these things (the scene where he is committing s* unknowingly in the ocean)
What i truly want to see is Jaekyung being mature and resisting his urges. I don't think he even thought of having sex until Kim Dan stripped. I need him to resist despite being so thoroughly tempted or else nothing much will change between them
