Maybe unlike us who read mostly gl or bl, they read far more straight romance and don't see where you got that idea
I read multiple genres though I don’t mostly read be gl or bl since I would probably get bored.
Since I read all genres, I see like cliché troops in all of them they probably just have different taste and opinions
