I get and agree with you pov, my problem is that, for sure, this won't be the end, somehow they will have seme grovel enough to apologize for this, and so this emotional ultimatum that kim dan is giving him will be for nothing. If, and i kno it will not come true, if you can give me a 5 to 10 years of JK spiraling and not understanding why things no longer work for him, while everything starts working for kim dan, then I might be fine with kim dan forgiving him, but i doubt well get actual catharsis from this. it will be fast-forwarded for sure
Yes, that's exactly what he's doing. He's simply following a pattern based on his experience with Jaekyung and assuming (rightfully so) his ultimate intensions for chasing him around ane Dan's goal is, as you said, to truly and quickly be rid of him.
He's not in the headspace to analyze that by doing this he'll traumatize himself even further, that it's likely Jaekyung won't end it there and he'll find himself in the same position again, let alone to think of any other possibilities. He's just living day by day with the only purpose being to be alive and functioning for his grandmother, while she's still around. It's actually very sad and scary to see what's becoming of him and with seemingly noone around to really help him get through it.
Jaekyung on the other hand is an narcissistic asshole , and I'm not using the term lightly or offhandedly at all. What's it gonna take for him to start changing..

Ok so. Kim Dan is so done with everything, he feels like he lost everything at this point. Remember, he was initially dragged into this sex thing with no initial feelings or even desire to do so, he did it out of despair. Kim Dan hated it at first, wanted to throw up when he was forced to give JK a blowjob, always connected the act of sex with a man to the sexual harassment he dealt with at work. So eventually, at this point, and knowing JK very well (means knowing that he's never gonna apologize or do anything decent, also realizing that there was no feelings involved at all like the ones Heesung assumed,) he's now just in another position of having to use his body to get rid of an unpleasant situation, that's how he dealt with this since the beginning. He's not caring if this is abuse or what, he's not seeing it as his time to shine in a chasing arc, Kim Dan doesn't think so highly of himself, he did some changes, but he's not covering all the reasons why he pulled aways from JK. The reason why he left Seoul was not to act hard to get, but only because he felt like he did a mistake at work and was not a good member to the team anymore. He was done with amount of blame he was taking from JK like never trusted him since the beginning, he saw his effort vanishing because of one mistake, that's what disappointed and hurted him the most, so he just wanted to fucking leave and take care with his grandma. So all this happening now is not gonna take the same thinking pattern in the head of Kim Dan as we do from our outer perspective, as people who know his value and who know that JK is developing attachement towards him. To him, it's just another scenario repeating itself, and if that can make him get rid of JK, then let's do this and finish it all already.
