I’m just confused why people are so ready to hate and attack something just because they subjectively dislike it. It’s so much easier to move on rather than be a hater. So of course I’ll defend a writers creative freedom :3

I agree, any artist can and should create anything they want (though I have some caveats). I think this author should keep creating and on top of that, it’d be nice if she had people around her who were willing to give her honest feedback on her work (if she wants it). That’s one of the best and only ways to grow and improve as an artist. But “creative freedom” does not mean “freedom from judgement or criticism” unless the artist themselves specify that that’s not what they want (and even then, it will come anyway, fortunately or unfortunately). “Creative freedom” does not mean that people are incapable of creating weakly written stories, or making weak choices in an otherwise strong story.
I’m not saying you can’t have opinions. There are so many ways to state your opinion without being mean. Not everything is for everyone so you should practice moving on instead of being hateful :3 <3
