if what i read before was right [possible spoilers] then that friend version of iheon is the same guy as the original abusive ML, with his memories of the tragic lifetime also intact (which was why he was like rlly nice) and then he went back in time shortly after MC did so he has memories of both previous lifetimes now

The current 30yo ml has the memories of both 21 yr old and the “novel” ml. Its the same guy in all the alternate universe apparently if the spoilers were correct!

Ahh i had a feeling that it was a genuine trauma response, which he believes is a book to help him cope by disconnecting himself from it, which is why the therapy is helping. Might be that he genuinely is a different personality due to the result of trauma?
I really love the "real" ml, his friend ( who obviously loves mc), I would be disappointed if we learn he never existed from the beginning ╥﹏╥
