You’re so right, and I’m glad I’ve found someone that shares the same sentiment, even though Christian I find it so odd and disgusting to portray a religious figures of such status, even the avg religious in such a way. It’s no diff to Mia Khalifa doing porn dressed a Muslim and the backlash she got was valid, I see religion esp Christianity being portrayed in such a way so often when it comes to manhwas/mangas it’s so weird how normalised it’s become, but it’s genuinely so disgusting and basically a fetish atp.

No exactly. I personally am a Christian, so this was very upsetting. In general, had this been any other religion I bet more people would’ve been angered or thought this was weird as well. ANYY type of religious symbolism/ themes shouldn’t be incorporated into an nsfw scene.
Yeah it’s a shame, idk why people do stuff like this, I’ve seen other manwhas where they portray “middle easterners” are barbarians, even using Islamic calligraphy and associating it with them, meanwhile they made the white skinned blonde hair with blue eyes tribes oppressed and advanced with knowledged, victims…very clear what the author was on. But blatant disrespectful religious depictions are way too normalised in manhwas
NO FOR REAL. When I first started reading BL I was youngish so I never noticed. But now that i am older it’s like.. this is blatant racism/ xenophobia. The bl community is honestly one of the most dismissive communities because they don’t care to stop hyping up racist/ disrespectful manhwas/ mangas/ etc.
