Answering yes or no isn't even a conversation. What are you talking about
If someone straight up said yes or no, that seems a little rude and so the person would need to change their response to seem more upbeat if you got it right. Saying ‘no’ simply seems a bit harsh, and some people just can’t say that so they don’t reply at all
