That was my assumption the original manga finished serialization back in 2022. The novel was actually finished in 2020 and goes on longer than the manga. There's an incomplete eng translations on novelupdates if you're interested try searching up the title there
Sounds like the manga got discontinued so they had to end it like this boooo
