Actually, I like that they included this in the manhwa early on and even extended the smex.
In the novel, they were only able to do penetration at the end of the side story. That was the only obvious part where they got some proper smex, right at the very end. LOL.
I'm a fan of the novel and I loved the sex scene.
I really don't think it was weird or unnecessary, be for real guys, is chapter 63. Also this part in the novel is just they planning for the great dungeon, so I understand that, to midia as a bl manhwa, was needed "something more" in a arc that's mostly nothing happens.
Also, manhwa still is slow burn, thoses are just dreams/the future
