The thing with the twins is that they have a twisted way of expressing their love as family. From my perspective, it seems like they pay people to avoid befriending or even talking to the ML because they want him to rely solely on them. However, they don’t realize that this isn’t love, nor is it what family should be.
In the end, the ML betrays their trust, and while the twins are obviously upset, they can’t do much about it because, despite everything, they still care for him. After they move out, the ML, MC, and Mero live together as a family for over a year. During this time, the twins continue to look down on the MC, seeing him as useless, yet they also feel a sense of jealousy toward him.
One day, while shopping, the twins spot the ML and MC together, smiling. They are shocked bc the ML had never smiled like that before. With them, he always wore a fake smile, but with the MC, it was genuine. Their relationship as family has deteriorated as the ML resents his brothers for trying to take the MC away from him, while the twins, still unable to understand his hatred, continue to care about him in their own way.

In their final high school year, there are rumors that Kwon Cheong-rim father is a gangster and is so violent that even teachers are afraid of him. So his daily routine is to skip class and go to the rooftop to lie down. That day, he was lying down on the rooftop, smoking a cigarette, when he heard a noise coming from his corner. He went in the direction of the sound and found Kim Sung Kyung curled up, his face and body mangled from being beaten. Kwon Cheong-rim squats in front of him and talks to him while spitting out cigarette smoke.
When asked, "Why is your face like that?" Kim Sung Kyung only crouched further. "If you don't answer, does that mean you want to get hit again?" Only then did Kim Sung Kyung open his mouth. "The ilijin asked for money. I didn't have any, so I hit him saying I don't have any money." Then Kwon Cheong-rim is just sitting there thinking, "It's not my concern."
Kim Sung Kyung wants to hide because he is being bullied by the ljin group, and Kwon Cheong-rim feels uncomfortable with people around him. At that time, the two often ran into each other on the rooftop and learned their names and grades, and even shared a cigarette. In the process, they learned about things like family history and inner thoughts that they didn't want to know.
Then one day, Kwon Cheong-rim couldn't see Kim Sung Kyung, so Kwon Cheong-rim loitered around during school and after not finding him, he grabbed somebody and asked him about Kim Sung Kyung. Then the person told Cheonglim that "He was hospitalized after being beaten, hahahahaha." After hearing that, he thought that he deserved it since he had been bullied so much. However, the more Kwon Cheong-rim thought about it, the more he got upset.
The next day, Kwon Cheong-rim goes asking about the group that was harassing Kim Sung Kyung. They are a mixed group, and Kwon Cheong-rim finds out who the kid who is bullying Kim Sung Kyung is and goes straight to where he is. When he opened the door and called them out, Kwon Cheong-rim picks up the desk and throws it.
Of course, he was suspended but succeeded in hospitalizing the bullies. Kwon Cheong-rim goes to the hospital where Kim Sung Kyung is hospitalized during the suspension. When he arrived, he said, "I beat the bullies. How are you going to repay me back?" and Kim Sung Kyung would be by his side every day. Eating with Cheonglim, staying next to him when he took a nap, watching movies on the weekend, etc. The two of them went on a date under the guise of grace... then there was a rumor at school that they were a crazy couple and not to be messed with.
Happily... Idk about that. Ml will live in a state of constant anxiety while mc takes advantage of it, all that stress will at least shorten his lifespan
Yes, happily. I didn’t go into too much detail about the ending since the message was already getting long, but Chungrim and Sung-kyung are happy with each other, at least, in their own way. I won’t pretend the ML doesn’t still struggle with anxiety, but his anxiety get lessen on later. In the side story they both accept each other and can't live without each other either.
The MC has issues with overthinking and constantly feels like he’s not enough. So by pretending he doesn’t remember his past, he can stay by the ML’s side without feeling unworthy. And the ML? He’s no better. Terrified of being left behind, he literally broke the MC’s leg to trap him inside the house. But neither of them minds. They know they're both messed up, and they’re fine with it. I wanna point out that this is a story where they are both crazy so what did u expect
By the end of the story, the MC finally gets a resident registration number and an ID. He can go to the hospital if he gets sick, and he can finally use a phone under his own name, Kim Sung-kyung, without borrowing someone else’s identity.
One of the moment with these two that talk about the memories thing:
“They want me to remember my memories. He said it was better that way.”
Chungrim stopped in his tracks, chest rising with an irritated sigh.
“Better, my ass. Do you think that too?”
Sung-kyung answered immediately. “No.”
But Chungrim kept staring into his eyes, silently pleading "Even if you want to remember… don’t. And if you do, forget."
Kim Sung-kyung knew exactly how to drive Kwon Chungrim insane. He knew how to keep him up at night and how to pull the leash tighter when things started to slip. They were slowly suffocating each other but they welcomed it.

Chungrim, Sung-kyung, and Mero had been living together like a family for over a year. They even chose January 23rd as Sung-kyung’s birthday, and celebrated it every year. The first time, they went shopping together and confessed how much they loved each other.
One of the sweeter moments happened with Chungrim and Sung-kyung:
As Chungrim reached out, he heard a faint murmur from Sung-kyung’s parted lips.
“M-mom.”
It was barely audible, but Chungrim understood. He was dreaming of his parents. Waking him now would only rip him away from them again.
So instead, Chungrim gently patted his chest and leaned in. He kissed the tears from Sung-kyung’s wet eyelids, licked the corners of his eyes, his ears and then lay beside him quietly.
Another tender scene:
Looking up at Chungrim’s sleeping face, Sung-kyung smiled. Chungrim had once taken all his emotions. Now, holding Chungrim’s emotions in his own hands, made him feel overwhelmed with joy. He wandered around for a while trying to calm his heart before finally drifting back to sleep.

Sung-kyung had stopped counseling after that conversation, but he still took his medication. Every day, he watched over Chungrim and Chungrim found peace in that gaze. In the final chapter, they got married. Both were wearing rings. So I believe this is a happy ending.
Thanks for taking the time to get into details especially since we don't know how far the manga will go with side stories. Of course I know they will hardly ever have a "normal" relationship, but if it was your regular "toxic" I would have long dropped it, the appeal is both of them being off but accepting the other. This ending in acceptance of the other "quirks" is probably the best ending a toxic pair could get lol
After this the mc father end up dying due to heat because the doctor that was taking care of the mc father ran away. (Got pay by the brother) Due to this the mc realized that he has nobody but the ml. So he try to make sure he doesn't get abandoned by the ml. However his hallucinations start getting worse. When he eat there would be mold even though there ain't and there would be bug crawling on his body. He would brush his teeth a lot where his teeth would hurt and take hot shower making his body hurt.
When the mc told the ml what he was gonna do with the red mansion the ml told him he will destroy it. The mc then ask, "what about me?" The ml reply, "what do you think I do?" The mc reply with (my fav moment) “I think you’ll, you’ll abandon me. Please don’t abandon me.”
As Sung-kyung’s voice trailed off, he wiggled his neatly placed toes. Chungrim, staring at the white feet, impulsively reached out and pulled Sung-kyung’s head closer. The distance closed instantly, their lips almost touching.
The sound of their breathing felt overly vivid. Staring at Sung-kyung’s chapped lips, Chungrim swallowed dryly and pulled back.
“Alright.”
From this moment on the MC starts forgetting important things like the name of the cat, where he is, why he's staying at the ML's house, and even the fact that the ML has already cleared his debts. The mc run away to repay debt and the ml found him. The ml end up breaking one of his leg because "If you can’t walk, then I’ll finally be able to pick you up properly." So in a way if I break your leg I can find you easily since you can't walk far anyway.
As time go on the hallucinations got worse. His mom and dad would talk to him even tho he knows there dead. He would talk about debt and etc. So the ml ended up confining him. He was trapped in a dark room with no way out. A single bed stood desolately in the pitch-black space. At first, both his hands were bound, but now only his left hand was tied to the bed’s headboard. He could walk around a bit, but couldn’t reach the door.
The ML doesn't mind the hallucinations though. To him even if he went mad, as long as he remembered him, and even if he became broken, as long as he recognized him, it was enough. The ML would bathed him, make food for him, put clothes on him, etc. Depsite the mc banging in the door and waking the ml up he would always take care if him. Never letting him go.
One day the mc want to sleep with the ml and the ml agree. When the ml was asleep the mc was now struggling to remember the ml. At first, he thought he could control it, but it wasn’t easy. He grew increasingly scared, afraid he might forget Chungrim too. He reached under the bed, not for a notebook but for a label. He took it out and carefully wrote three familiar characters on it. The three familiar characters was the ml name. He was indeed forgetting what the ml look like. In this scene he say
“Don’t forget.”
This person is Chungrim. You must never forget this person.
When the mc finally went to sleep the ml woke up to see the label and his heart broke. He knew what it meant. Despite all the efforts to stay in memory, he might be fading from Sung-kyung’s mind. He was scared. That the mc wouldn't remember him anymore. Soon his fear end up becoming true.
The next day the mc was back in the trapped room and when the ml came to check on the mc he forgot the ml appearance entirely. The mc would say the ml name even though the ml was right in front of him. When the ml saw this he say "Fuck, he doesn’t even recognize me now. The pain he felt discovering the label on his arm returned, sharper and more intense."
Since the MC frequently talks about Red Mansion, his parents, a drug addict who nearly killed him, and the ML's brother—but never the ML himself—the ml decides to take him there. In an attempt to shock the MC into reality, the ML tell the mc that the ml abandoned him even tho the ml doesnt feel that way. He just want to shock him a bit. The mc goes crazy and the ml leave him in the room where the mc lives.
Devastated, the MC goes to the room where his parents once were, finds an old blanket, and in his despair, uses a knife to slit his wrists. Meanwhile, the ML, about to leave but consumed by a terrible feeling, rushes back just in time to save the MC's life.
The ml find the doctor to take revenge or smt and he find out that his brother was the reason of this. I just put what the novel wrote, "His brothers had schemed again to take what was his. They gave money to the doctor who abandoned Kim Sung-kyung’s father, telling him to hide deeper. They tried to break Kim Sung-kyung and drive him mad, ultimately aiming to separate him from Chungrim. They used different tactics this time but ended up being no help to Chungrim, as always."
The ml goes to his brother and beat them up. He then confessed how he feel about his brother and about the mc, “I needed someone to be by my side, not the type who thinks money solves everything. Someone who followed my words, did things I liked. Someone who didn’t weigh me against money. That’s what I needed. And that’s why I chose him.” (this line always get me. Like the ml love mc so much)
After the fight the ml goes back to the hospital and stayed with the mc for a week. Holding his hand and praying that he not dead. In the novel " he squeezed Sung-kyung’s index finger tightly, watching as his nail turned white and then red again. He was alive, no doubt.
'When will you wake up?'" And "He kept pressing Sung-kyung’s fingertips, ensuring blood was circulating well."
When the MC wakes up the MC has amnesia and only remembers his parents getting sick and him taking over the convenience store, and the first few meeting the ML (before the starts of the story) the ML lies and says that his parents died soon after they got sick and now he lives with him and they're together. The ml say this because it was a chance to replace all the sad and painful memories with ones involving Chungrim instead.
When the mc got better the ml changes houses, The new house was far from the Red Mansion and positioned so that it was no longer visible, even through the windows. They lived in that house from now on however there are still some problems like the ml has a anxiety every night bc he worried that mc might hear hallucinations again or go crazy. Or worse, slip away from his grasp once more. At night he would put his palm on the mc face to check on the mc if he was alive. Only after confirming this several times did Chungrim get up.
The ml also got rid of sharp objects bc of the fear from the mc almost dying. He almost had an panic attack when the mc was looking at it.
BTW the mc doesn't have amnesia. He did for a little bit but he remembered it all. However he never gonna tell the ml about it. Since it show how much the ml love him. They both love each other deeply and live happily.
