MC literally mocks taesan for being abused by junwoo in his monologues. He is only helping cz it makes him look like a good guy but he'd literally push him down the stairs for "stealing" that abuser shithead he's so in love with. The MC is not a good person and that is the point of his character arc until this point.
I get where u coming from but at the same time MC never does anything of the horrible things he says in his monologues, I think he is a complicated character because if you say that you are not nice but then continue to act like a nice guy... at the end of the day you are kind of a nice guy?? that's why taesan always goes to him too (and mc doesn't push him away even if he says he wants to)
