I think you mean the western mage union building in the great sarain forest. In that case I don't know the specific chapter you read but I can give you some suggestions so that you won't have to reread from the start
So i just checked and they basically reach the forest after encountering the mages in the border town at chapter 250
I'm not sure about his hand getting worse because that's all the time XD but yuder's fight with pethuamet? (the giant monster) started at chapter 282
The end of that fight is 292 and he wakes up from his injuries in 293

I mean it takes some time for them to both full on say I love you and shit and be vulnerable but they are so together (≧∀≦) yuder has a harder time confessing of course ~trauma~ but yeah

Starting the novel has simultaneously saved and ruined me... I've been reading nonstop for the past week like... literally non stop from the moment I open my eyes till I can't understand the words anymore so I basically have not been a functioning human being yet it's so worth it man.... so good... and i don't usually enjoy slowburn this one killed me with how much edging it does but that was also worth it the author and the translators have such a beautiful way with words and feelings UGH IT'S KILLING MEEEEE BECAUSE I LOVE OT SO MUCH...
Still haven't caught up with the novel but I'm close like 200 chapters left with the ongoing translations and man that's the only thing slowing me down because I don't want this heavenly experience to end
