It's still ongoing though but after reading this far writting this regarding the manga sticking to the plot completely with respect to reality, since this is an "inspirational manga" made with pure intentions to "motivate" the readers through a character yatora who started from all "0" to add confidence in readers but amplified it more by saying in just 2 years of his high school and cracked TUA in first attempt but here in reality this is impossible.
The reason I'm saying this is because the drawbacks and how this Manga is all mapped for yataro from start till now all the situations obstacles emotions he went through turned out as his assignment topics ( which is impressive of mangaka's writting) which is unrealistic, doesn't happens in real life ,same pattern was noticed for his entrance exams when yuka and yataro went on beach out of blue idea created a nude potrait which boom turned out his entrance topic ( though I was impressed how mangaka presented it) most realistic thing about this manga is it's writting style depicts "frustration" ( I wont lie it gave me headaches as if I'm the one under pressure ) back to topic , yataro whole entry into art world was unrealistic vague and weak (mori painting didn't got him into art or inspired him to be an artist he was just amazed) it was his "even I can do that" attitude got him into art. And his sheep habits (see and do) is worst the reason he suffers at times and struggles with low self esteem he chose art because of mori chose oil painting for entrance because mori passed it ( see and do ) out of all the most unrealistic thing about blue period is yataro getting into TUA by just doing dessin and oil painting for topics (all thanks to the "obstacles") without exploring art from his own perspective and without any idea of what he wants to make/express or his own style ( like mori San drawings are based on prayers and religions), ( I won't lie i legit scream when he got into art club like bro what are you even going to make you are not thinking just drawing motif makes you good artists right?!? It's just for basics fundamental of art bro at least have hint form mori's paintings) all of my thoughts came true when the professor hit him with "real question" by saying "what are your approach?" After college introduction section and yotaro was suprised by the statement ( I was happy to Yotasuke my kind person who doesn't takes others criticism if they are not of his standing he even surfed on internet saying "he is not good as me" lol I love him)
There where many drawbacks in plots see art is a wied field needs a deep understanding of colors, pencils , tools ,material etc ( I even saw anime in hope they would have showed it details but not it was even worst they cut down many things from manga ) but yataro masted in shading in just four months?!? (Where is the detailed/struggle sence like choosing the correct pencils or the shading techniquea?!? Same goes for his other knowledge in it ) The plot is too focused on his mental struggle and success.

Thank you for reading this far I would be glad to hear others opinion on the manga too
