I find their past lives more interesting than their present ones.
Hanyoung keeps saying he's going to be different this time around, but he's basically doing the exact same thing minus beheading people who talk behind his back.
The only reason why things are going differently is due to Seokhyun being almost a complete 180 of Geolson in terms of being able to talk back to Hanyoung.
Kitae is kinda one dimensional to me. He feels like a character that was created with no other purpose than to act like a stalking horse for Hanyoung and Seokhyun.
Joohye/Sohyang is the only interesting character so far. She's the only one who has had any meaningful insight without becoming an immediate threat. She was genuinely concerned for Geolson and was trying to steer Moonyoung in the right direction so the two could be happy together. She was supportive of them without being a complete pushover. Idek how her present day self is gonna play out, but I can imagine that she's doing what she does out of a need to help others.
Other than that, the story is a solid mid. Tbh I'm mostly interested in how Geolson died lol
Kinda spoiler-y???
