had the potential to be good but resolved too quickly and in a simple(stupid?) way. Can’t be helped since it’s a short story. would be nice if the author maybe sprinkle in some abandonment issues and explore more how the uke felt with their relationship being so ambiguous, how he seemed be looked down and not really lovers and not really best friends.
