Based on the first half of chapter 1 where Little Red said he’ll help Metatron recall how they came together, all of the story so far is a flashback.
Gabriel and Metatron made a bet at the spring festival to see if Metatron could make this an angel named Elijah fall head over heads for him. Metatron wins the bet and the reward is to be a blowjob from Gabriel. But Gabriel says that’s never enough to satisfy Metatron so they make a new bet. If Metatron can make the seraphim of hell (Little Red) fall in love with him, Gabriel will completely surrender himself to Metatron. However if he loses, he’ll have to bottom for Gabriel (implied based on Chp 2).
In hell, we see Little Red is being bullied relentlessly by demons in for having angel wings. Metatron finds him all wounded and Little Red immediately calls him mother (which Metatron feels odd about). Little red takes Metatron to his home. Metatron tells Little Red to call him “Gabriel” instead of mother, but little red seems to be having a hard time doing so. So he calls him Ga-Ga. Little Red seems to have the mind of a child and has a lot of difficulty pitting thoughts into words. Metatron also notices that he is unable to create things (or at least create them well), implying that Little Red isn’t a creation of the Heavenly Father. He also notes that there’s some kind of aura coming off the statue and little red’s feathered blanket and deduces that little red must be important to someone (or maybe there’s someone else who is important to little red, I wasn’t clear about this) and decides that, even if he can’t win the bet with Gabriel, if he can find the person important to little red, he can use him (either the important person or little red, not clear) to trade with Raphael.
So Metatron asks Little Red to take him to the demons that had beat him up. Little Red gets beat up again and Metatron bestows some of his power on him in order to fight back and cleanse demon sinners. But, by doing this, it also gives Metatron the ability to peer into Little Red’s mind and find out who created him. This seems to backfire and little red, after reading Metatron’s mind in turn and now looking akin to a teenager, attacks Metatron, saying he won’t allow him to leave hell. Metatron fights back and decides to just kill Little Red. But, little red flips the script once more and uses Metatron’s own power against him to shatter his sword.
We return to heaven where it is revealed that some time ago, Gabriel discovered that Metatron’s power was already inside of Little Red, information he shared with Lucifer. It seems that angels had been sent to hell before to handle little red, but they’d all been killed. Gabriel tells Lucifer he’s honored to share such a burden with the deputy lord (no idea who this is but it seems like it might to be a woman, based on how Lucifer replies). It’s hinted that Gabriel and Lucifer might have a physical relationship.
Back in hell, things become unclear. We see Metatron stabbed and chained to a wall, little red is unconscious on the ground, and there’s some kind of Angel in between the two of them, keeping Metatron chained to the wall. Little Red’s snake friend does something to Metatron’s sword and Metatron is released from the chains and awkens. We see that someone is holding Metatron (seemingly Little Red in an adult form), saying that let won’t let him leave. Metatron bites their fingers, causing his mouth to fill with blood, which seems to please the mysterious figure.
When Metatron wakes up again, little red is a child once more and is taking care of him. He brings him an apple and offers to wash Metatron’s clothes. Metatron says he’ll have to stay with little red until his ribs heal. (Things get a bit weird here.) Metatron very seductively goads little red into removing the clothes himself, as his ribs are broken and he can’t do it, deeply flustering little red. Metatron also says that if his leg was broken, he’d have to stay even longer (which I just know is gonna come back to bite him). He then tells him that he must hurry, as those are the only clothes he has, and others will see him naked if he takes too long. Little Res leaves in a hurry to go to Eden to wash the clothes.
In Eden, little red overhears angels talking about how Metatron has been gone for quite some time, and that the deputy prince made a deal with Metatron for sex, indicating that the deputy prince is likely Gabriel. Little Res gets caught by the angels who threaten to take him to Lord Michael. Little Red refuses and transforms in his adult form. It it’s very heavily implied that he kills them.
Happily back in hell, little red runs into the demons who have been bullying him. They now call him boss and invite him to party with them. Little red tells them no, as he needs to dry the wet clothes. After much convincing from them, he goes to dry to the clothes at the bonfire at the party instead of the lake of fire like he originally planned. Here, we get a glimpse of little red’s feet, which have the same red markings as the figure at the end of chapter 5. They arrive at the party which is actually just an orgy. The boys tell little red to have his pick of partners, but he pushes past them in refusal to dry the clothes at the fire. Hard to ignore the moans of everyone around him, little red begins imagining himself (in his adult form) having sex with Metatron. He flees the party and returns home to an (apparently) sleeping Metatron. Little Red calls out to him in his child form. When he gets no response, he changes into his adult form and goes a little off the rails, saying (or thinking) that Metatron is his alone and that the only way he can completely own him is if he kills him. So he starts choking him, but stops shortly after and kisses him instead while jacking himself of and rubbing up against Metatron’s hand (please don’t do this to people without their consent). When he finishes and see that Metatron’s lip is bleeding, he runs away. Metatron was, of course, awake the whole time.
