I feel like omegaverse for me now is like a >10% chance of liking it. I’ll only try to read it if it’s not alpha x omega but the exception is if the omega controls their heat really well whether with suppressors or they are weird. I’d hate it if they wouldn’t normally decide to fuck someone outside their heat but when they are on it nothing really matters. It’s a weird codependency and power dynamic.

Yeah, i hate how they rape and then blame it all on the omega. I do have to say however that my favourite manga/webtoon and even novel is an omagaverse. But really off the chart, no cliche, the greenest green flag ever. It’s fantasy and you forget it’s omegaverse unless they remind you. I lied, it uses all the cliche and makes it not cliche. Haha, i don’t know what i’m saying, anyways, after i read that as a novel, which now became a webtoon, i’ve never been able to read an omegaverse again.

I’ve never liked it all that much but now I just full on avoid oxa and only look at axa or oxo now because omegaverse feels like they’ve straightened gay relationships. Everything revolves around their second gender and people date off their second gender more often too, and in omegaverse omega and alpha are the most compatible, which is comparable to women and men. Plus it always has huge power imbalance, similar to real life, but this time we’re just supposed to say yeah that’s how it goes. I know it’s wrong to say but omegaverse just feels like if you took queer relationships and heteronormativeified it.

Imo it's bc authors started to exploit the second genres as a parallel of real life and we ended up with straightified gay couples
