Shic's hair and eyes are red when he's in awakened state. When he isn't, his hair is brown and eyes are blue.

Yes, I am aware of that. But it didn't seem so in the begining chapters. When he first entered Helios, he was given some kind of magic stone(on his earring? If I recall correctly) that changed his red hair and eyes to brown hair and blue eyes so that people wouldn't recognise him as 'The Association's Shicmuon'. I may have recalled wrongly though, feel free to correct me on that. I'd always thought that his brown hair and blue eyes were due to the magic stone.

I think the magic stone was only to conceal his power so no one will be aware that he's Shicmuon from the Association. It doesn't change the appearance since Shic's real appearance is just like that.
You can see in chapter 131, 148, 169, 171, 173, 177... those chapter have Shic in unawakened state and doesn't wear those earrings and his appearance still the same :)
