
Yep, the nerve of that man having nothing to do with his oldest until the emperor demands him to use his daughter to get something from the only family she’s known. She’s not vengeful either, if not for her fam she’d do what he wanted. I realized this seems typical for the 17th to 18th century or before with even the noble women education. If the mothers don’t teach their daughters anything, then everyone expects young women to find out on their own. That “father” of hers even married a terrible stepmother who didn’t fulfill any maternal role, I wonder if her nursemaid could’ve taught her. I don’t see the problem with the mother-in-law teaching her, she’d be comfortable with her and someone has to tell her about the curse and why it’s dangerous to have kids.
