I understand that some may disagree, but I found Do You Still Like Me? to be profoundly disappointing...
The narrative is riddled with plot holes and lacks essential information, making it a confusing read. The characters are shallow, devoid of depth, and fail to evoke any emotional connection.
Despite its high ratings and positive reviews, I couldn't find a single original idea within its pages.

The story doesn’t strike any emotions and left me completely unengaged.

The biggest flaw is the poor handling of timelines and flashbacks. The constant shifts are disorienting, making it difficult to follow the plot. Since this is a spin-off, there are characters, events, and elements from the prequel that are relevant, yet the author fails to integrate them smoothly.

This makes it even more frustrating for new readers who haven’t read the prequel.

Many other viewers have clearly described the plot as confusing, with abrupt transitions between past and present events that are hard to follow. The characters’ actions often lack clear motivation, further muddling the storyline. )

In summary, Do You Still Like Me? fails to deliver a coherent and engaging story.
The poor storytelling, underdeveloped characters, and disjointed structure make it a frustrating read. Despite its acclaim, it did not resonate with me, and

I genuinely don’t understand the high ratings.

I get that for viewers a power bottom, an Alpna×Alpha manhwa, a masculine couple is all what matters to them...
C'mon really ?? Just for some kink you gave this 3rd class manhwa such an high rating??
You gotta be kidding me

I agree that the plot was very confusing, especially at the beginning. I also didn't like how the relationship with the father and the old flame was resolved, for me not at all. In my opinion, the story had many good beginnings and many missed moments to make something of it.
Nevertheless, I was gripped by it and that was mainly due to the two main characters, especially the Power Bottom.
You know how you often watch a movie or series yourself, not because the plot is perhaps the best of the best, but because the characters are fun and you can't wait to see what happens to them. And I think that's what results in the high ratings. But I understand that not everyone has to feel the same way.

I think you're confusing things a little bit...

This story has high ratings because all the other yaoi mangas are downright pedophilic with femboy twink ukes that look like jail bait and romanticise sexual and emotional abuse.. In contrast, this one gets to look a little better standing next to those bullshit stories.

This story gets so many praise because people on this site only gets to see an uke that doesn't look like a starving child once every a blue moon, and because all the other yaoi manga (ok, not all, but A LOT OF THEM) are literally so bullshit that even the most sophisticated readers get their standards dragged down to the fucking mud.

So to answer your question, why does this manga in particular get such a high rating? Because everyone here is in so much denial, wanting to be able to find a 'good read' in a porn-site-disguised-as-a-manga-site, that they'd gaslight themselves into thinking even the most mid manga is equal to william fucking shakespeare.

Tis me. I am it. Leave me alone.
