That was the first thing I thought when we first sae him spreading those rumours!! I'm so glad some else had the same thought
i'm pretty sure that is the case because the girls in chapter 2 said "nishi told me bad stuff about him" and he froze up when he heard it was nishi. so i'm pretty sure
I may be an over thinker but I just thought what if Nishi spread the rumors so he no one could near him and be dependent to him.
Anyways just a thought
