Yeah I think Illic only finds Sayan attractive but there’s nothing more than that.
to me it feels like, since illic can't really get away from him, he started to accept sayans obsession to not drive himself mentally crazy.
I have to agree with you on that. Though I feel like it’s a mixture of him being helplessly attracted to him and being backed into a corner with no where to turn but towards Sayan.
From where I look at any angle, I don't see and feel like Ilic have the same feelings as the Emperor. I honestly don't see romance but an unrequited love :(
