Ur def interpreting it wrong especially if ur someone who drinks alcohol from what it seems like he’s tipsy and from the sudden movements and kissing ect it’s obvious he’s gonna get dust that’s why alcohol does but he’s fully conscious and he’s fully comprehending the situation. I didn’t like the end where he passes out cuz i feel like… if you’re so tired or intoxicated that you fall asleep at the end of sex i dont think you should have it in the first place. However, he may be dizzy but he also spoke perfectly normally and had conversations with ml while doing stuff, he didn’t appear very drunk to me. I feel like the author would have made him slur his words or act out of the ordinary if he was extremely drunk. Sometimes i get dizzy or nauseous when i drink, and it’s usually when im super drunk that i don’t realize i’m dizzy i just fall over lol. I do agree that sex scenes, especially for the first time, should only occur while both parties are sober, and the author is dumb for making a scene that could be interpreted as assault. But I personally wouldn’t say its as big of a deal as you all make it out to be but i respect your opinion since assuming non consent is always safest for both people.

i think this is v nuanced and i think a major thing ppl fail to remember in conversations of rape/sa is that the affected party's desires/emotional impact after the fact is what determines what it ends up being. sure enthusiastic consent is whats ideal, but that's in the case where you cant literally read the ppl involved's thoughts as we can in a bl. plus i think this story aims for realistic portrayal more than anything. and its not like drunk hookups don't happen.
