Right!!! Like I get why it irks a lot of people but it's not supposed to be a cute romance. At least I hope not. Like everything the author is depicting is so purposefully toxic, I doubt they actually wanted the viewers to think of it as anything other than ykno. I get the grape and stuff is fucked up, but it's supposed to be.

Yeah I fully get that. And although I get it I feel it's too insane to then excuse it and label it as love. No matter how 'uneducated' this is just borderline fucked up behavior, fitting for his character of course. But labeling it love is kinda dangerous. Idk abt u guys but I used to read yaoi even when I was young so I know there's probably a bunch of young pple reading this and y'know it would be rlly bad to give them the wrong idea of what love is. If that makes sense. This chapter alone isn't the only time he's doing sth crazy toxic, take for example the time he tried to kill himself. Toxic is the only way you can rlly label it and idk if he's going to change but even if he does. In my opinion labeling this as love or his way of loving is just insane. (I'm not implying you are saying this btw I'm just saying him not knowing how to love doesn't just erase everything he's ever done to Lee)

Yeah I totally understand your worries! But as you said you start reading at a young age yet you know this kind of relationship (ie Caesar x Leon) is toxic and that shouldn’t be “love”. So maybe if the QI of the generation don’t drop lower, they’ll know too just like you that this is fiction and in real life you should treat your partner right. Don’t worry too much, real life factors like “type of friends” are way more impactful than toxic yaoi.
I don't think this is supposed to be viewed as like a full on romance. The point of the story is that it's toxic that it isn't actual love. Caesar probably won't change but that makes sense for his character u get me. I think to like sorta get this u need to stop viewing their relationship as love even if that's what they are saying to each other their actions border on obsession more than love.
