same-

They entered a temple who are under the protection of Hathor. This temple was protected by old gods that have disappeared and was used to teach human kind procreation. Then when the original guardians had completed their duty, the temple pass down to Ra's daughters, and specifically Hathor, and carry on with the same purpose even though it is no longer used.

The temple has a magic that create for whom enters it an illusion of their most inner sexual desire and teach them how to consume it (the coming of age ceremony) and in the process lose their virginity. The illusion would trap you there until you are done, make use sensorial stimuli's to basically aroused you (luring smells that you unconsciously like, body type that is your ideal). Although the temple seems to run automatically on its old purpose, it appears that in some level it can be directly influenced by the Ra's daughters, as they are linked to it. A bit like a computer that has and administrative account (the original gods) and a guest account (Ra's daughters).

When Horus and Seth entered the temple, the first thing Seth notice is a perfume that was "familiar" to him and alluring. Then look-alike Nephthys illusion showed up, wearing the same smell and drag him in a room, leaving Horus alone. That illusion was technically Seth's ideal woman, but the smell on her didn't fell right. as in it belong to someone else, which made him reject the illusion.

In the meantime, the temple magic didn't work on Horus, because A he was fully aware of what he liked and who he liked, B who the smell he liked belong too C having just next to him the full object of his desire, made the temple enable to create a fake version. So instead, another illusion fed by Horus guilt toward Seth was create, powered by Bastet (the Cat Goddess) to stall time from his reunion with Seth, as she knows the temple magic is soon to be in full effect on both of them, and as she witnessed (through the kitty eyes) how the two behave she had no doubt the magic will just exacerbate it and make them completely cross that threshold they were edging until now (AKA sleeping together with full consent and feelings exposed)

But because Horus has the gift of foresight and Wisdom, he wasn't fooled by the Nephthys illusion and broke through it. Then reunite with Seth who had turned down his own illusion because things weren't feeling "right". And Horus hugs him tight in relief to have find him, Seth realized that enticing smell that aroused him was in fact coming from Horus.

Meaning that He was unconsciously attracted to Horus smell for a while, the temple just used it because it saw that at that moment that was what he liked the most, and attached it to a version of Nephthys, which is his ideal woman, since he is still hand up on the idea of a nuclear family being the right goal, even though deep down, he has started to feel something for Horus, but just was in full denial.

And since the temple magic made him aware of the smell being what he liked and realized that he likes it because it belongs to Horus, and at the same time being under the complete influence of the temple by this point, it became easy to finally let go of his pride, his belief and accept the reality of his situation, which made him more welcoming to the idea of being intimate with Horus.

So in short:
Seth was in the closet about his new attraction, still stuck on his old relationship core value, and Naughty Time Temple was: "Ok mate, I am going to show you what you think you like, because I need you to have sex, but I will still use what you are into right now, to make it work, because otherwise the illusion isn't going to land, you pain in the ass."
And when it didn't work because Horus was on Seth's mind, the temple magic was: "Ok have had it, then. Go get your man, but hear me out, you not the only one that have their eyes on this candy. So watch out. Oh and by the way, the magic is in full effect now and I'll make sure you will get laid. Enjoy the pain in the ass!"

As for Horus, Guest account Temple-chan was: "The fuck my magic isn't working on you, you asshole! How dare you not be affected because the object of you desire is right next door? Ok then, I am going to make you waste your time with your worse fear related to this man, and we'll see if you resist me then... Cause my new owner reallllllyyyyy need you to not do the adult fun time with this guy. Would have been great if you could have fuck off with a fake Hathor, but hey, you are so lost even your common sense cannot find you. So lets bring the estrange wife of the guy that burn your bird brain. That should do it.... Ah it didn't? Well, crap."

All of this to have Seth be: "Ahah! That's my man! Ahahaha...ah. Oh fuck, that's my man... Hell yeah, that's my man!"

I think what is missing is we had no actual hint at were Seth was emotionally from the first time he initiated the kiss to now. Like a little moment of weakness were he is going to accept Horus contact and retract himself from wavering (which could have happened in the forest when they were talking). Or maybe just a look at him, while lost in though and realized he had been following Horus movement without realizing it. That would have been a subtle yet on character addition that would have made the switch less fast. And the tension of them staying that temple more enticing and yet urgent.

Sometimes when chapter like that are made, it is often due to production pressure to make the plot move. So instead of having the characters moves the plot organically (which work for stories that center on character development), it is the plot that moves the characters to the next step (which mainly work in action base story). It is hard to avoid sometimes when you need finish finish an arc that is already long, but if the story so far was really more psychological oriented than action oriented, and was running on a characters arc move the plot, reversing that suddenly definitely make you feel like you skip a feet. Several passage of this new season is kinda like that.

Seth seems to be more a spectator in this world now where is has no control of while being carrying left and right by people he doesn't take much time to learn to know truly, beside the old Osiris priestess which he riled up to basically punished himself and pissed at Horus. It feels chaotic and aimless, because everyone runs around like headless chicken to us, seemingly without goal, and then suddenly: "OH here that temple we are looking for' Drats it is destroyed." "oh, where we looking for temple? I though we were fighting the caravan?

So two possibility here:
A/ The chaos of season 2 is the result of deadline rushed by production (been there in the past, I know how sometimes they will make cut important growing part of a script just to save time... wuss wuss.)
B/ The story chaos is on purpose and reflect how actually both humans and gods worlds is in disarray; from society falling to corruption, generation being divided and separated, hunger and poverty striking more while the gods are unable to attempts to their duty, since they have other familial issue to deal with. The world was in bad shape under Seth, but it is in a bigger shamble now because nothing is restored, violence and corruption still active and everyone wonder when things will change, while in the back ground the fanatics inquisitor seek for blood and caravans still roams free.
That chaos is also a parallel of Seth's state of mind, as he supposedly journey to break the curse and free the soul he trapped within him. But shit continue to happening and he has the attention spam of a cocker Spaniel. So is environment is chaotic because himself isn't sure of where is should go and what he should do. Every steps adds more question than it answers his. Which is frustrating.

And amisd that chaos, he wasn't shown having even just a moment to think of his situation with Horus... not even a reflection to himself post battle has to why he kissed him. Like for example when he was alone with the spy kitten, which would have a better weight on why Bastet is so stress over them entering the temple together. But because we were left of as a "it was a misunderstanding. Leave me alone bird brain" routine with no update, it did feel a bit odd that Seth was eagerly jumping the gun here.

But I'd say go read the 15+ age restricted version of that night. They actually talk a lot more and I feel important stuff are being said there that are not in the smutty version.
