I’m so done with them

I feel like I’m about to go crazy. I hate her brother SO MUCH. He is so manipulative, dismissive and entitled. He’s essentially using his power to trap her. How is he any better than brothers who sell their sisters off for marriage? People really play down how dangerous his behavior is. They try to make him seem caring, but how is trying to set your sister up with someone who mistreated and traumatized her, caring? I despised him from the start. He dismisses her opinions and does whatever he wants, it’s straight up dangerous. This Raymond guy is obviously a creep, and I can’t describe how mad it makes me that he keeps pushing him onto her. I wish she actually stood up for herself and became stern with her brother. “You either give up this nonsense and respect my opinion or don’t ever visit me again” kind of stern. I’m so, so tired of him and OG ML. They are trash, all trash. Just kill them off at this point, sorry not sorry

Well her brother isn’t great since he doesn’t take time to talk to his sister but his impression was that they now mutually love each other and wants her to have a good shot this time with him. His intentions are good even if he’s a bit stupid.

See? That’s what I mean with people downplaying his behavior. He’s not stupid. He’s dangerous. And if he loved her, he wouldn’t try to set her up with a guy who traumatized her to the point of amnesia (that’s what he beliefs). If my “friend” did that to someone I care about I would cut them off from my life. He only think they “mutually love each other” because he can’t be bothered to ask her opinion. He has no respect for her boundaries or autonomy, he does whatever he wants with no regard towards her feelings. Doesn’t matter if his “intentions” are good, he’s exactly like garbage brothers who sell their sisters for marriage. Not to mention he uses his position to trap her. It’s disgusting. Raymond is also clearly dangerous, which makes this so much worse.

My impression is that he is afraid of her taking the throne because their father favor her more than him...so he wants to get ride of her by marrying her to that delulu Spencer

Not sure about that, but I didn’t like him from the start. He always acted like he wanted to sell her off (from what I remember). I just find him disgusting

As someone who read the entire novel, you’re definitely reaching with the “he’s dangerous.” Belief. There is nothing dangerous going on whatsoever politically. What happens in other stories did not happen here and has nothing to do with this story. If anything, this story has the least amount of conflict and no actual confirmed villain. The only danger she ever gets into is caused by getting herself into trouble. This story has no real conflict with an antagonist at all.

    The brother’s character summary:

Her brother isn’t great. It’s obvious. He’s selfish and values his own wants over hers. He thinks it’ll be beneficial to him when he’s king if Raymond gets married to his sister, then they would have his family’s backing. He’s not close to his sister and is actually closer to Raymond. He is not a doting brother that you see in most other manhwas that worship the mc. He’s actually more of a realistic side of an ANNOYING af brother who argues with his sibling 24/7 and is selfish.

I personally do not like the brother at all. But I can assure you that he does not actually want her harmed. Like he mentioned before, when Raymond talked about how he didn’t like his sister right in front of him, he got irritated thinking, “I know my sister’s crazy, but it’s a different story when someone else insults her. Only I can insult my sibling.” Typical sibling behavior lmfao. You cannot forget that the OG Agnes was terrible. It was not just Raymond that traumatized her, but she traumatized Raymond as well. She stalked Raymond. She was known for being crazy and disrespected others and looked down on commoners like Kylo. Her brother has SEEN how terrible OG Agnes was. He and everyone else personally knew Agnes was obsessed over Raymond. It’s hard to believe she doesn’t like Raymond anymore after watching her most of her life, say otherwise. Don’t forget that MC also decided to tell everyone and acted like she chose to let Raymond go, despite still liking him. That’s what everyone thinks. If there’s a chance she gets her memory back, people will think she still likes Raymond and will go into shock that she chased after Kylo, who she previously hated, during her amnesia phase.

When she got hurt or was in danger, he was genuinely scared and cried. He does care for her safety. He just doesn’t believe she doesn’t like Raymond anymore like everyone else who knows her.

Agree to disagree. I see your points and agree with some of them, but as a whole I can’t agree with it.

Yeah that’s fine. Just saying that I also don’t like the brother at all and he’s not an overall good person, but he’s also not an evil villain lol. He has his flaws and positives (deep down lmao).

Thanks! I just wanted to say the brother has his negative points and positive points. He’s not a likable character but he’s not meant to be evil. So showing both sides of his character is important for those who may not know

I don’t think he’s a villain, but I think his behavior is dangerous. I already explained why, and that’s regardless of what his true intentions are. I don’t like downplaying what he’s doing, that’s it.
