If the story follows the novel, Chase's worst moments are in these first chapters. If it helps, he's in a terrible mental state because he takes experimental drugs to stop his ruts, because he's traumatised to the point that he refuses to sleep with anyone. IMO, his character does get salvaged, and he is extremely different from Keith. Take Kiss Me, Liar as an example, Keith sleeps with everything in his sight, and gets uke to make him lists of women to sleep with, and even then, he is an asshole rapist. Josh on the other hand isn't as weak as the other uke, as he is very experienced and also as you've seen in the recent chapter, doesn't really take shit. I believe that this story if adapted correctly, won't have rape, especially in the main couple, as Chase in the novel, gets mortified after hearing that Pete is his child, because he gets worried that he raped Josh, which he didn't do. He is an asshole more so at the start, but he becomes more submissive at one point. I don't blame your skepticism, as honestly, the bar is in hell most of the time with bls.

No dont compare it to kiss me liar, this is far far better than it. The only thing bad abt seme is his attitude and potty mouth which again as the person above stated stems from the drugs he has to take and a particular childhood trauma caused by his brother. Other than that chase is a good seme, he refuses to sleep with anyone even in the worst situations and josh was the only person he slept with. Later on you will slowly see how Submissive and emotional chase is. Kiss me liar is dogshit plot glorifying rape and Cheating, this is nothing like that.
Judging by this author's previous work, "Kiss me, Liar" and the beginning 9 chapters of this manhwa, I already do not have high hopes. Keith was already bad enough and Chase seems no better than Keith. In chapter 5 he already assaults Josh by pistol whipping him in the face and then he proceeds to nearly shoot him but only be unable to bc his gun is jammed or empty. And THEN he KICKS Henry off of the helicopter into this hoard of zombies called fans and nearly killed him. IDK how this could be any better than Kiss me Liar bc she had 60 plus chapters to salvage Keith's character and still did not manage to do that. The names are atrocious. "Chase miller, Joshua Bailey"...the most BORING, uncreative white names. At the moment, the only good thing is the art and Josh's tenacity. Moral of the story: this author makes AWFUL male leads with no explanation too, not even a half-baked, unjustified ,sad ass backstory.
