Dldr

To people who are always complaining in comments, just follow the basic rule of DLDR (don't like, don't read). It's really that simple. You can stop giving yourself and other people headaches from your non-stop yapping : )

I’m not reading it cause the rating’s low but like I never got the dldr thing cause, like, why are you reading the comments complaining? Follow your own advice and don’t read comments when it looks like it’ll be negative. People watch and read stuff they don’t like all the time because it’s fun to shit on things and this is an outlet to do it without it actually hurting someone. Or it’s a situation where they extended so much time they gotta see it through the end and since they’re here they might as well get their emotions out.

This is a topics section, you have people here coming back as well as people reading the whole thing for the first time. There will be a range of opinions and they won’t all be positive and some people will be passionate, not the biggest deal if you’re not interacting with things that will upset you.

Anyway, sometimes people want to get mad and just rant about stuff. Ranting is exhilarating but you don’t really get to do it so unashamedly in real life so people do it online. You don’t have to like it but if you feel like people shouldn’t interact with what they don’t like then looking through the topic section might not be the best plan. You’re better off creating a fan page

This wasn’t me getting snappy or trying to belittle you btw. I haven’t read this and I have no stake in this fight. I just find the whole dldr thing dumb cause than everything would be 4-5 stars. I do believe that people get too comfortable insulting real people who like this stuff and that is wrong because it is fiction and does not represent how they would feel about this happening in real life. But that wasn’t your main complaint which I find also unproductive.

Reading comments for wonderful people, bc there are great, fun comments on many series too. It's annoying to scroll past pages of all your whining, so have some decency to complain privately to your friends.

We don't need you shameless types who can't control your own experiences here ruining other people's good times. We already have enough troubles irl, so have some thoughtfulness. : )

There are more considerate ways to be complaining. No one was saying you have to rate something 4-5 stars - your logic makes no sense.

Being here is free, but it's also a privilege to have access. No one is forcing these people to read it and rant

Why is complaining about a story inconsiderate? Again if you don’t like it you don’t have to read comments because they are free to complain about the stories. Sure, they can complain to their friends but they could also complain in an area where everyone is familiar with what they are talking about and can add to it. Because it is a topic section about what they want to complain about. And yes, if no one read stories they didn’t like that would obviously skew ratings because only those who like it would have enough background on the story to rate it accurately based on their experience. Would you rate a movie if you only saw 10 minutes of it and checked out? Would you be more likely to leave a review if you disliked the movie but watched the whole thing. I’m assuming no for the first scenario and yes for the second.

And yes the comics are free here and we have to be mindful of that. But I think it’s a greater insult to authors that were pirating in general compared to people not liking it. I’m sure this author wouldn’t like the 7.6 rating this manga has, should we not rate things either cause that would be the first thing they see. Do you think someone who wrote characters who are extremely dislikable are hurt when people hate them? People in this career make extreme content like this for money not necessarily because they like these characters (shock value/kink sells), I’m pretty sure they care more that we didn’t pay than people ranting on the topics form.

I’m sorry you feel negative comments are inconsiderate. Not really sure who it’s inconsiderate to, maybe the author maybe to fellow readers like yourself. I personally think negative comments can be really funny even if it’s from stuff i like. I don’t let them get to me cause who cares that someone has a different perspective, if I find it philosophy or morally wrong, I’ll call them out, but topics sections would be so boring to me if everyone just ignored the demon in the room. Think about it like this, that long rant is also a free piece of media someone took time to write. Is it inconsiderate to complain about them? I don’t think so but someone can argue your doing the same thing your complaining about

Sorry, I'm not reading all that.

If there was a way to block users who are immature and complaining, I wouldn't have a problem with people going out of their way to expose themselves to things that are not for them. And then on top of that, complain about it and flood a comment section crying about their own decisions? That's just asinine.

If you don't see something irritating about that - being forced to see it while looking for happier/interesting/fun comments then idk what else to say to you.
I'm not here to have a convo or change your mind, tbh. I'm just here to enjoy myself and not be inundated with negativity.

So have a great night. :)

    That’s cool
But the comments will always be there so you will always be irritated. If you learn find joy in them perhaps they too can be interesting to you. I said that somewhere in my reply but you weren’t going to read it. OMG YOURE LEARNING GOOD JOB
