So true, I couldn't make it past chapter 6. I thought it was a translation issue at first but then realized nah - i need to turn off my brain. Which i can't do so thanks for saving me time. You should switch your name to Geico, you saved me 15 minutes of my life.

I understand the uke being a lil dumb cuz he’s hella depressed but the other characters are kinda dumb too and I think it’s cuz of the pacing and dialogue. I won’t give examples cuz spoilers. Also I read this for the mafia tags and we barely got any of that. What’s the point of introducing a bunch of side characters if we never get to see satisfactory plot with them? Quite a few things were unresolved and underdeveloped.
If you turn your brain off it’s not a bad read but it just feels incomplete overall.
