I realized I really dig the stories that are set around the republican china timeline. Usually the stories I read are either set in ancient china or current day china but something about this sort of timeline feels so close yet still distant, the perfect balance of both historical and modern, It's a shame I haven't seen this sort of theme much in bl's, would really appreciate it if anyone has any recommendations of such stories.
