dear god it's so annoying how the author plays off her brother's actions as comedic and trivial.
that is the biggest, foulest, dookie of a stinkin plothole and it crashes through my suspension of disbelief every time stop trying to make his manipulative actions that completely disregard her autonomy look cutesy jfc. whatever the hell that brother is doing trying to play puppeteer with his own sister's romantic life is creepy af, waaay way creepier than blondie (bland flavor of spurned delusional ex boyfriend. not even the interesting kind).
please tell me there's a plot twist somewhere down the line where it's revealed her brother actually despises her to his core and is doing all this fully aware his actions will tie her down into an abusive relationship & wants her to be miserable? OTHERWISE IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE.
the way he keeps pimping her out and forcing her into a relationship that has obviously caused both parties so much mental instability, the way he's totally down with taking advantage of her 'amnesia' like, "ok i know you hurled verbal abuse daily at my sister, couldn't give two cents about her well-being, was complicit in making her the laughing stock of high society, and my sister was violent & unhinged af when she was obsessed with you, while me and my father did nothing about this... BUT isn't it sooo sad that now you can't both be codependent on each other at the same time this is where i come in.
really? SURELY there's one functioning braincell there that's at least manning the ship and subconsciously steering it because he resents his sister?
