Right, well, a lot of korean manhuas tend to have flashbacks that once you've know that 'oh so that happened to the character,' their attitudes and actions make much more sense. There's a flashback towards, eh, chapter 20...? 19? 18? it's much later than chapter 13 in any case.
Like Mystery Girl says, reread it from the very beginning and things might make more sense to you if you're trying to pay attention. If, on your second go-around and you make it to season 2, and you're still very confused n have NO IDEA what's up and down, maybe this is just not the story for you.

I'm curious about the relationship between Ryan & Christoph. It seems more like a father-son thing since he's always patting him on the head like a child, & he really does look an awful lot like his sister/sister-in-law (?) but he's a servant, so that throws me off. Initially I thought it was his BF, but they don;t give off that kind of chemistry. I'm not even sure how old Christoph is.
Maybe you are reading it wrong? You read manhwas from left to right ... when I started reading manhwas I was also confused and when I switched to mangas I kept reading it like I read manhwas but now I'm quite fast on switching the reading from right to left and from left to right... and there are a lot of flash backs so it might get confusing but you must focus more while reading manhwas due to storyline and various hints which you might underestand later so pay attention while reading :P
I think it's translated weirdly, that's why it's confusing at times. If you ignore all that and continue reading it start making more sense. Reading some mangas made me question my English (it's not my native language). But I have to agree storytelling was all over the place in the beginning.
Ok so what is what ? I don't get a lot of the situations and characters .
There are 3 couples or so .. the rapist and his slave , the sweet guy and his boyfriend , the weird guy and the girl looking guy .
The story is all over the place . I can't understand what is happening when !!!
It really is confusing . I read to ch 13 but it is just painful to read .
It looks like the author is a beginner or something . I don't know something is off about this manhua .
