Yes, Dane is an extreme omega. It really seems that the novel finally comes, someone just postet a link today in the comments of "Kiss me, if you can" were it was announced for feburary.
They probably changed the release order of the novels, because actually Nathaniel would have been next for the Millers.

I don't know. I think that Dane is at least a bit messed up, too. And when it comes to sleeping around, Dane does that, too. He is just parts on better terms with them. I think it will be an epic battle, and both will suffer.
At least we know from the side stories of KML that they are still alive and doing ok.^^
