Yeah I agree it’s kinda like trauma bonding + natural human nature to like anything cute. Like do you not feel more comfortable and happy watching videos of kittens? He feels an affinity with her because of he saw her in the state she was in and probably could guess reasonably how she was treated.
I feel like they will become closer like friends, but also that one or the other will fall in love.

I think y’all are misunderstanding the crown prince I don’t think he has love for her yet I think it’s just curiosity and admiration it seems like she’s the first person who he was able to connect with hes basically trying to form a trauma bond with her that’s why he finds her smell comfortable
