Side couple is mentioned in extra, they have their own novel
I know just sometimes it's not marked an I'm like bruh... This.. This does not further the main story
It's probably to add crumbs and sweetness (ig) because the readers are hungry from all the slowburn

but like, unless they change how the novel is told, sunset appearing here is actually to move the main couple story further. this part it's not really related to the side couple, it's only briefly mentioned (and probably just to help readers that may haven't read the main story to understand sunset's reputation better)
