As long as no one is getting hurt or exploited, then the creation is free to exist. This sentiment doesn’t apply to people that make fanfiction and works representing REAL PEOPLE like K-Pop fans do. I have seen Instagram accs dedicated to shipping members together and making fan works. I feel that actually hurts people. And it’s weird.

Even if someone committed crimes after reading a book, it wasn’t the book that caused them to do it, it’s their already fucked up mind that okayed them to do it and if they blamed the content, they likely used the content as a scapegoat to shift the blame from themselves. It’s the same concept of video games don’t promote violence. Which was debunked ages ago.
