Honestly I disagree, I'm glad they implied a romantic relationship at the beginning but were clear that intercourse is forbidden until you're an adult by law.
Otherwise I'd be weird because it would be easy to see a child as a younger brother instead of a romantic partner in the future, without that implication it would feel like incest imo
They were clear about being husband and wife even if they can't have intercourse so it was easier to see them that way after time skip.
But that's just how I see it, I understand your viewpoint tho!

this explanation and logic is so flawed that i’m honestly a little appalled by your viewpoint. you’re defending the romantic implications as if there can only be romantic OR familial feelings between an adult and a child, but that’s just plain wrong. there’s such a thing as platonic feelings, which are free from all implications. it wouldn’t have made it feel like incest at all to have those two have purely platonic feelings in the beginning and then turn them romantic later

I'm literally only talking about this specific couple, context is key.
Mc was clear that he saw ML as a kid and "younger brother" until he found out that he's the king and his soon to be husband.
I never said anything else so I don't know how you can twist my words that much but I guess everyone is free to have their own opinion.

Yes you were trying to suggest that my viewpoint applies to everything when it's just this couple.
We disagree on that and that's okay but I'd like to ask you to refrain from twisting my words and making it seem that I genuinely believe that there can only be familial or romantic love between an adult and a child which is ridiculous but that's besides the point.
Hmmm don't get me wrong here, I loved the world building and characters but I would have enjoyed it much more if they hadn't implied romantic things at the beginning TT at least they delved deeper into this only after time skip
