exactly. Tai's questionable and stalkerish ways has been pretty much hinted from the start. it's just overshadowed by comedy and the fact that Tian Cai do not have issues with his obsessive tendencies that lead to his manipulative and questionable, stalkerish ways.
besides it's really doubtful it's gonna take a dark route considering the tones of the story after all these 100+ chapters.
I know it's been hinted at, but it's never been confirmed and has always been like a jokey-possessive type thing which I was perfectly fine with. Now that I know he just straight up stalked and took pics of his TEACHER that turns this relationship from kinda weird but fine I guess to just downright creepy.

I think the same can be said for any kink, honestly. If it's not your thing, regardless of what that "thing" is, and your partner persists/insists on it anyway, then it's toxic.
