I felt the same way and dropped this for a long time, but I finally came back and powered through and there is a very good explanation for this so if you're willing to continue on please do so.

She's been forced to drink a potion from childhood that's been slowly changing her perception of the ml and brainwashing her, changing her memories.
im on ch 50 and so frustrated with all these miscommunication, or the lack thereof. FL assumes things and blindly trust the words of her bff and seemed to cant think for herself. idk, maybe this is just not for me, but i really cant grasp the point of everything happening in the early chapters.
