I don"t think Cirrus father ever hated him.....from the flashbacks it seems like he did try but Cirrus was a difficult child.
he's still pretty cold towards Cirrus when they're alone, he's only pretending to smile while giving Cirrus's friends a lift. And the step mom still goes to the parent's meeting or smt when Cirrus had that huge fight at school, but it doesn't show here.

His father still isn’t nice tho? He’s cold and saying cirrus is being difficult by wanting to going back to school. The only nice father here is SKYLAR’s dad, dropping the kids off to the hotel. You might have gotten them confused, unless you really were talking about cirrus’s dad at the end, in that case i don’t see what’s nice about him so i may need some clarifications
what i mean is, he looks like finally replying to cirrus and actually talking instead of beating and ignoring cirrus. well, cirrus used to be rebellious and now he's talking more from his heart, guess both are having development (the father still sucks with no redemption , i hope cirrus leavez home for good after he graduate from school)
suddenly his father got "nice" ? he used to berrate and abuse cirrus all the time. (also where's the stepmom? maybe bcuz i havent read for a long time, didnt know anything about stepmom anymore)
