i totally get ur point. i did like that we got to see two boring ass ppl love life without all this unnecessary drama and stress. it was very realistic. however, i didn’t like that the seme basically had to lose weight for the uke to really notice him. but that is the reality for plus sized ppl so i’m that regard too, the story was just real.
After some point I just kept reading it because it wasn't bad enough for me to drop. Ngl it was kinda turning into a chore near the end for some reason. (Don't come at me, idk why I do this to myself either waaah)
Their relationship wasn't toxic or anything, I just hated the uke's personality so I couldn't connect with the whole thing. I don't like the basic gym bro mindset so much.
