The white/gray-haired priest, was he ever mentioned or hinted before? I feel like the character was just an afterthought, ngl, but the author added Ines forgot or somewhat erased/buried from her memories to patch some plot holes lol.

Then Emiliano and Carcel. Ooofffff the tension is insane. Some of the past is slipping into Carcel, I hope this time nothing happens, just perfectly placed coincidences. Because if he ever finds out who Emiliano is in the past, it would hurt Carcel one way or another, I don't want that. He must be protected at all cost!

He is not an afterthought at all. The style of the story goes with revelation according as Ines or Carcel remembers are interact with people. It’s not written from a third point of view. It’s written in the first person and alternates between Ines and Carcel. It’s also written as progressive revelation. What about Lourdes who just showed up? He is also a new character that will be significant later.

At this point I’m just waiting for his memories to hit him. I want to see his pov or at least his memories from the other two lifetimes

Sorry but who's Lourdes? I might have missed the character. I get introducing a new character but I find it makes sense if the new character is literally new, compared to the priest who is apparently related to the past lives but only showed this chapter.
