Apparently (as of Season 2) Kloff is self-loathing himself because he‘s attracted to another Alpha and therefore he’s torturing Aeroc (even beyond the reason of Rapiel’s death). In the 1st season, however, none of his „feelings“ for Aeroc are there and - for me - it feels as if the author made those feelings up in the 2nd season as an "excuse" for Kloff‘s cruel actions.
so yk that kloff isn’t the only one against alpha x alpha relationships right? it is taboo. kloff is influenced by society’s ideals and is against pursuing aeroc. i’m not sure how that’s not clear in season 1. with this in mind we can make our inferences. kloff likes aeroc and even imprints him (this is more novel detail), is in hella denial, uses rapiel as a poor excuse, and with all that plus what aeroc did made him do the things he did in s1. i hope u don’t mean “excuse” like that because it’s the reasoning behind it and is no way justified behavior. many readers hate kloff for this, and imo, if kloff knew aeroc did wrong it’s not his decision to decide the punishment. but ofc it’s not just simply “i hate you aeroc for killing my hubby” it’s “i also love u but i can’t show it so im gonna do all these things to you while under the pretense that i only hate you” and it’s a complete mess.
overall the author did not invent these “feelings” in s2 it’s p clear since s1. it’s just less noted because we’re seeing it from aeroc’s pov. you can’t have everything spelled out to a reader, sometimes it’s up to the reader to connect the dots.
Aeroc should be this „genius aristocrat from a wealthy and powerful family“, yet he is extremely gullible and did not "see it coming“, that giving thugs a lot of money and telling them to _punish_ a pregnant Omega would result in them killing said Omega and the unborn child in the most disgusting and gruesome way. Excuse you, but WHAT ELSE, did you expect? You said "punish him“, not „scare hime a little“ or something along those lines. Explaining Aerocs arrogant attitude during the 1st season, with him being a noble and therefore not being able to express his feelings during 2nd season, is simply not a strong enough reason for me.
does being a genius mean you are good at everything? aeroc is skilled in things like the arts. he’s shown to read a lot and play instruments and observe art pieces. is he a genius in finances? is he a genius in social skills? being a genius doesn’t mean u are immune from flaws. if u think it’s common sense that you shouldn’t tell thugs vague directions in hopes of getting what you wrong maybe for us but maybe not for the next. and is aeroc really a genius in that regard? aeroc is not perfect, and he may be a genius for some things but not others.
yes ig u could say aeroc was arrogant thinking he was better than rapiel and questioned why kloff wouldn’t choose him. yeah nobles can be p arrogant. but him being a noble isn’t the only reason why he’s arrogant and is a very small portion that may not even be true. i don’t even think aeroc is arrogant because he acted arrogantly due to his jealousy of rapiel. that’s why u see him acting so arrogant.
aeroc isn’t able to express his feelings in s2 because he doesn’t want to get involved with kloff. he doesn’t want the same events happening. he’s trying to keep his emotions in check.
Kloff and Aeroc are not able to communicate, much less understand each other. In the 1st season they don’t even talk much with each other, so I don’t understand why they’re stuck on the other. I don’t feel a spark between them at all. In the 2nd season they author chooses to switch the POV more often and share their inner monologues; while this gives the reader more insight and creates the illusion of „understanding“, it’s nothing more than that: an illusion. Because Aeroc and Kloff don’t share much dialogue at all. The sudden (mostly consensual?) smut in season 2 felt extremely excessive and was bare of intimacy. I read Manga where a simple brush of fingers felt much more intimate and gave my butterflies, yet here I felt nothing and skipped through it.
love at first type shit. if u think this is unrealistic well stuff like this does happen irl
they’re also stuck on each other cuz of imprinting.
u don’t have to feel the spark. in s1 most agree the relationship is beyond toxic and nobody ships them.
u think there’s no intimacy because that’s what u believe in. again, i can see ur pov, but i also see it from the other side. this is finally the two giving in to their desires after what we’ve witnessed.
The rape, coercion, stockholms syndrome, forced gender“swap“, forced pregnancy and cruelty are major reasons why this story is not enjoyable or Kloff/Aeroc redeemable for me.
i get why some are turned off from all those that h mentioned, and they are valid reasons. if it’s not ur cup of tea then yeah it makes sense. kloff and aeroc’s redeemability is imo up to the reader as well, whether u ship it or condemn one or the other or whatever.
also u can call it forced secondary gender swap. most abo titles are considered second gender
1/5 Stars — Not my cup of tea. At all. *Spoilers ahead*
(Read until chapter 55)
Usually, as a reader, you‘d sympathize with the MC, but for me it is not possible to "root" for them individually, and definitely not for them as a couple.
While I enjoy reading the concept of a redemption-arch, some crimes and actions (for me at least) can simply not be forgiven.

It does not feel authentic at all. Kloff S1 and Kloff S2 seem like two entirely different people. Also I think Rapiel deserves much better.

I‘m not trying to fight or diss, so please don’t at me. I‘m simply sharing my personal opinion and taste.
For me it‘s a definite „I do not recommend“, but I wish everyone who enjoys this story a happy ending for all characters and lots of fun while reading.
