I think this was after he resolved himself to be esteban’s lover after he found out that esteban and a foreign prince (crown princes ex fiance) had past relations (esteban helped the foreign prince break off the engagement with the crown prince) and he figures out he loves esteban. I think at least i honestly dont remember
- esteban believes he needs political power to keep lewyn by his side without the crown prince interfering or taking him back
- he makes an agreement to marry the foreign prince to gain political power
- accepts a proprosal or proposes (i forgot which one) to foreign prince in a ball
- lewyn sees bc he was orignally stationed outside but defied orders to see esteban
- crown prince stops proposal from being confirmed by saying esteban is too drunk
- lewyn is temporarily dismissed from crown prince’s knight bc he defied the crown prince’s orders
- he goes back to his estate to do work and tries to process everything (the betrayal, etc.)
- esteban barges in angry bc he thinks lewyn is avoiding him/running away
- esteban has angry sex, says mean things, and is rough with lewyn
- lewyn breaks down bc esteban is being an asshole and esteban freaks out bc he’s crying
- turns out he does love lewyn but he’s trying to keep him tied to him emotionally and politically in a twisted way using the marriage with the crown prince to gain political influence
-lewyn tells him, why don’t we just get married because even the crown prince can’t deny the marriage laws
- esteban is like oh shit ur right i didn’t think lf that

i was honestly expecting them to have an angsty arc where lewyn would find out esteban doesnt love him and estaban would have to figure out his feelings and then a groveling arc yk the whole shebang but no. Lewyn probably came to love estaban slowly bc he’s a masochist and likes being bullied inside and out of bed and he finds esteban cute. I’m not completely sure how esteban fell in love with lewyn but i think its probably related to how he’s so unconditionally kind to him regardless of the situation and he’s the first and only source of love and warmth he’s ever had. But i also find esteban being all blushy and lovey dovey kinda of abrupt.

thanks for the breakdown but damn l, some of those things I really didn't expect. I was kinda hoping the curse to stick around toll somewhat the end of the story, and have esteban fall in love first and not realize and after some tine to no longer know for sure if he's trying to make Lewin fall for him to break the curse or for his own feelings's sake. and i mean, kinda sounds so stupid that lewin confessed he's in love with esteban and esteban was like "i need political power to keep him mine" , did anyone actually try to separate them or something?

No one has tried yet but it seems like the crown prince has a slight obsession or possessiveness towards lewyn as well so he might’ve in the future. I totally agree with you though. It would’ve been so much better if the curse lasted longer
Someone please give me a breakdown of the plot so far, how does the fall in love actually happen? I gave up on this around chapter 15 or something, but I enjoy coming here every time there's an update to look at the comments and really, they never disappoint, but until 2 chapters I was under the impression they were still uninvolved emotionally, just physically
