True, especially since MC is quite…idk, he’s strange but I don’t fault him due to his childhood.
He craves love or touch basically. And ML knows just that!

Yeah, I feel his cynical perspective on relationships and love come from watching his father cheat on his mom and all his women yet still being in love with them. He believed there is ultimately no one who shares his sense of loyalty, except Taeshin, who he saw as the prime example of the hell he would have to go through if he gave his heart naively like Taeshin did. It is also implied all of his past dates were just physical, so he doesn't even have experience being loved in his younger years when he was less guarded and vulnerable. This distrust makes him find relationships, even friendships, utterly exhausting and annoying, so even if he yearns company he puts all his effort into rejecting it. It's actually great that those things are not spoonfed to the reader, it's fun to connect the dots.
You really summarized it well, this is why I enjoy MC as a character, he has layers and he would rather run away than have someone else unravel them
The way y’all lack the media literacy to understand that they’re showing how even someone as mc can fall into a psychopath’s trap because they are just that good at manipulating others to have them under their control.
