Honestly, the creator does a good job at depicting Jihwan's mental illness. Jihwan isn't just a possessive, crazy, control-freak. He has moments where he does just seem human. That's what tricked Soo-young into believing nothing's wrong with him. He probably has schizophrenia like his mother, but also has his dad's toxic personality and mindset. With no one to teach him right or wrong, Jihwan rlly only had his father to "show" him how to love someone (which was toxic af). Not to mention how Jihwan doesn't seem to have proper treatment for his mental illness like his mom. Some pills ain't gonna solve everything. And with his father, who isn't doing jack shit to help him with love or prevent Jihwan from making the same mistakes as him, is only making it worse for Jihwan.

I hate Jihwan, but I definetly have a lot of pity for him. I can only hope that he gets proper treatment for his mental illness and that he reflects on his actions and make up to Soo-young. Jihwan may have saved Soo-young, but he also harmed him the most in highschool. And as much as I hate Jihwan, I do hope Soo-young finds a way to help Jihwan with his mental illness. Jihwan has done some fucked up shit, but if he REALLY tries his best to earn Soo-young's forgiveness, I will wish them a happy life together.

It's definitely not schizophrenia, that is primarily a disorder of perception where those affected suffer hallucinations and delusions and often fail to distinguish between what's real or not. Schizophrenia is not a disorder categorised by a lack of regard towards others and manipulative or calculating behaviors. If anything given the persistent pattern of manipulative and exploitative behavior, lack of empathy/remorse, anger issues and impulsiveness hes exhibited, Jihwan probably would have ASPD. It's more than likely comorbid with some other mood disorder and the meds he takes are either anti psycotics or antidepressants to stave off the irritability and volatile outbursts. Sadly, no cure for this mental illness. The challenge with treating aspd is those affected, typically lack insight into how their actions affect others, so aside from long term therapy and a motivation to change and recognise his harmful behaviors , there's little anyone else, especially Soo young can do for Jihwan

I'm rlly feeling it for Jihwan. If there's no way to treat his mental illness, then I hope the story shows Jihwan going to therapy or smth. I don't think it will, Jihwan's probably just gonna find ways to apologize to Sooyoung and he'll forgive Jihwan or smth. But I do hope Jihwan gets better (health wise)
