bro just got raped and you're talking about him coming clean to a dude who has just explicitly stated he just wants a 'housemate to have sex with'? tell me why would theo open up about his rape to someone like that? it's already hard enough for victims to open up about their trauma to their loved ones let alone their fuck buddies.
I'm not saying it should like happen immediately. But maybe at some point far into the future? Yeah, it is a difficult situation. And what I meant was I hope they grow close enough someday to talk about it. This is a slowburn after all and a well written one at that...apology if I came on too strong about it I guess uhh.
nah my bad, I got annoyed at the other victim blaming comments and thought this one was giving off similar vibes a lil. I hope Dylan becomes someone trustworthy enough for theo to lean on and open up to on his trauma. I don't even think Theo wants to process what was done to him by Gunner atp in time.
Yeah, I agree. It's kind of like when you're totally numb when catastrophe strikes cause your brain took a hit you were never prepared for. And he's got a fuckton of stuff on his plate already may that be work or figuring out his situationship with Dylan. This man is just marching on without caring for his own self. Sealing off the bad stuff away so he can work through the here and now.
And it gets so much worse when you realize that he doesn't really have any kind of close family at all. Yeah, friends and coleagues - but there's only so much you can disclose to them. I hope that Theo heals in due time (and also finds the courage to face Gunner at some point, and take him down too).

Theo still hasn't explained why he was late to Dylan. And by the looks of it, Dylan won't be asking him that any time soon because of how smitten he is and probably feels questioning Theo would just put a wall between them when all he truly wants is to get closer to Theo (and the feeling is mutual). I mean he DID try poking at it, but Theo dodged it and Dylan let it slide...
But really, I don't think it will sit right with me till Theo does finally come clean to Theo and decides to do away Gunner once and for all (both emotionally and legally).
okay don't hate me for this but this is one of those instances when I actually do want angst. I want it to be gut-twisting and have a satisfying resolution.
