I actually got a different impression from their story. Sounded to me like MC couldn’t open up to her and that eventually led to their breakup. He was insecure that he wasn’t the mature, calm persona that she fell in love with (bc let’s be honest he’s the opposite of mature and calm) and he carried that insecurity into his relationship with Uyun as well, who also fell for his calm persona.
