first read this when i was in middle school and i completely missed the meaning behind "the moon is beautiful isnt it" and the last extra panels where the grandpa was looking at the book. i genuinely thought the chairman just had a onesided love for misakis granpa.. but now that i realised they both loved each other but the chairman was too scared to act on his love and circumstances forced them to start their own families.. its even more heartbreaking than before.. i personally love this story alot because the characters are so charming to me! the subdued nature of the charactets and the lack of unnecessary dialogue makes for a really emotional story. the paneling and the art of this manga is so delicate, poignant and atmospheric.
