In korea, it's very commonplace to just leave your belongings while you go to do something and they barely ever get stolen. It's a mixture of the respectful culture and the amount of cameras available (deterring crime to an extent). I was also extremely surprised when I studied abroad there, but was told about it. It was super nice lol
Sometimes I feel like all the thieves are in my country, 'cause how can you leave your laptop like that? You're lucky that they just stole your presentation lol
And it's not just in BL, I see this kind of thing in movies too. Like, people leaving the keys in their car, or the doors to their houses open from outside unless it's locked etc...
Is this how y'all live in first world countries? ╥﹏╥
